2. Biography:
Magnifico, born Dirk Stein, discovered his passion for electronic dance music in the mid-1990s. Inspired by vibrant parties in the Sauerland region, he began producing music in 1995. In 1997, he co-founded the project “Phase 9” with Holger Bensberg and released the album “M 104” in 1999. After “Phase 9” disbanded in 2001, numerous releases followed on various online platforms.
In 2017, he took his first steps as a DJ, making his debut performances in May of the same year. Since then, he has played regularly at clubs such as Club Petit in Siegen, Vortex in Siegen, Grube in Siedlinghausen, Butan in Wuppertal, Dee2 in Siegen, and Hawerkamp in Münster.
In 2019, he joined YSE (Yellow Sunshine Explosion) as a DJ and co-founded the project “Peaky Blinders” with DJ Bim and Drukverdeler. Additionally, he became a resident DJ at Bassmania on the Trance Floor in Münster.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, he curated multiple compilations for the “Goa Culture” series for YSE and launched his own Twitch channel.
In 2022, he organized events under the label “Komfortzone” and continued working on the “Goa Culture” series.
2023 brought more performances at Vortex in Siegen, Hexenkessel in Winterberg, and Club Petit in Siegen, along with the continuation of the “Goa Culture” compilations.
In 2024, he continues his musical journey by creating AI-generated music videos for the YSE label. The “Goa Culture” compilation series reaches Season 16.
